| The course gives a basic knowledge in how to use Linux as programming evironment when developing software. First Linux system fundamentals are
presented: terms, users, privileges, file structure, some common useful tools, etc. Then the following topics are covered:
- Editors
- Compilers, debugging tools, library management, documentation tools
- Shells and scripts
- Revision management
- Source development managment
The education is carried out in a network based form, and consists of theoretical sections and problem solving, laboratory experimentation, and participation and contribution in a more extensive programming project.
You apply for the course through www.studera.nu.
You can apply the whole semester, start whenever you wants and fullfill the course in you own speed. But you must fullfill the course within 20 weeks from when you starts the course.
